Beyond Paint: The transformative power of wallpaper

When the season ticks over you can't help but think about change and transformation.

We made transformations in a clients house using wonderful wallpapers where before, the rooms were tired and unloved and not blessed with natural light. 

Instead of trying to fight the lack of light, we embraced it and enveloped several rooms in wallpaper to unify awkward spaces, disguise tricky features and add personality and interest.

Some thoughts about wallpaper:

You don't have to use expensive, hand-blocked papers if budgets don't stretch that far, many designs are rotary printed which makes them less costly but still lovely and even some digitally printed papers look good.

You can splash out in smaller rooms where less paper is needed and can create a real surprise.

Many papers are suitable for bathroom use (or can be sealed to help with longevity.)

Contrary to perception, wallpaper often makes a great backdrop for art.
