Marquetry master..

The work of Olly Fathers recently caught my magpie eye. Father’s uses intricately cut wood veneers and explores the relations between abstract shapes, different materials and forms. His pieces are at first striking, grabbing your attention and then drawing you in to admire the detail.

He works from his studio in Brixton which we recently had the pleasure of visiting.
